About John McAuley

My name is John McAuley and I am a Cloud Architect working on the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering for Service Providers team within EMC’s Solutions Group.  I collaborate closely with EMC’s strategic service providers and partners such as Cisco, Intel, and VMware to develop secure, integrated and optimized “as-a-service” solutions that enable these service providers to monetize the cloud.

Prior to joining EMC, I was a Technology Architect for Windstream Communications’s data center and managed hosting division, focused primarily on cloud network and security architectures.  Before Windstream, I spent over ten years managing Network Engineering and Operations organizations for Duke University Health System, Thermo Fisher Scientific, LabCorp and CenterBeam. Prior to moving into management, I served in various Network Engineering roles with The Dialog Corporation and Sprint.

I live in the Raleigh, NC area with my wife and five children.
